Published circa 1902 by the Yonkers Board of Trade, the turn–of–the–century version of today’s Chamber of Commerce, Yonkers Illustrated promoted the benefits of living and doing business in the City of Yonkers. Presenting the best of the city and ignoring its seamier side, it provides a fascinating—if not rosy—view of Yonkers at the beginning of this century.
