WETMORE, JAMES A. (18633/14/1940) Washington, D.C.
Formerly (and over a period of fortyfive years) Mr. Wetmore held the post of Architectural Supervisor of the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington. Born in Bath, N.Y., and educated in New York, he began work in the capital city as Court Stenographer, was first employed in the Treasury Department in the same capacity, later became a member of the Architectural Department. During his long connection with the Federal Government, numerous buildings (at least two thousand) were designed in his office. Retiring during the 1930s Mr. Wetmore spent his latter years in Coral Gables, Florida.
