The Friends of Philipse Manor Hall
thank you for supporting our
A Pearl of a Party!

A Cocktail Reception and Auction featuring a fabulous, one-of-a-kind 18K gold pendant with a pearl and six diamonds based on a
motif from the Rococo papier
mâché ceiling executed by master jeweler Mark Willardson of Yonkers (formerly of Tiffany's) raised funds for activities at Philipse Manor Hall. .

Louise Devenish, Decorative Arts Consultant and Appraiser based in New York, acted as our live auctioneer. The winning bid came from  developer of many Yonkers properties (including the historic Trolley Barn and Gazette Building) Joseph F. Spiezio III who placed his bid via two-way telephone. A silent auction raised additional funds.

The inaugural pendant (above) is hand-crafted of 18K yellow gold and set with six diamonds
and a cultured pearl.  Photo above shows the pendant (slightly larger than actual size) and
photo below shows entire design motif from the ceiling. Copies of the pendant will be
manufactured in 14K, silver and possibly pewter for sale at some future date at the
Manor Hall, but this inaugural pendant will be the only one done in 18 K set with diamonds.
